A Gift Everyone Will Love
"You have searched me, Lord, and you know." Psalm 139:1
Has anyone ever bought you a gift and after you opening it you thought, "This person doesn't know me at all." When you receive a gift form someone who knows you intimately well, the gift helps to seal the bond between you and the gift giver.
The Bible tells us that every good and perfect gift id from God above (James1:17). Go, a gracious giver of gifts, knew us before we were in our mothers' wombs (Psalm 139). He understands our wants and He anticipates our needs. And He fashions His gifts towards us based on His intimate knowledge of His creation.
Each day there are women who come through our doors at Caris who are broken and often without hope. In our time with them, we can only begin to speak to the depth of their hopelessness and despair. But, we serve a God who knows them, loves them and is seeking for them to know them as well. We take great hope in the assurance that, "all the days ordained for [them] have been written in [God's] book before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139:16)
We believe, by faith, that God has written some amazing stories about the women we serve, and we are blessed that He has chosen Caris to play a role in His narratives, bestowing His gifts of hope and grace.
